Lida Sherafatmand has been exhibiting her works since 1997, so far in 19 different countries, including 50 collective shows and 30 solo ones. Besides painting she holds an M.A. in International Relations, teaches Art at schools, and is a prolific fine artist and writer.
Leda’s paintings, articles and poems have been widely published, including by UN, UNESCO and Amnesty International. One notable piece of her writing is the Humanitarian Art Manifesto published translated to 7 languages and published on various newspapers and journals.
Her art works have been cited and reviewed in academic dissertations of art history and journals of social science.
Moreover, Lida has been conferred numerous awards including, the David of Bernini 2015 award from Italy for her artistic contribution to the contemporary art world, Special Prize for Human Rights Anne Franck 2015 for her efforts in human rights education through art.
She was also awarded the Marco Polo International Art Prize for the artistic merit in her work, and the International Prize of Women's Art World during an exhibition at the Museum of Marrakech in Morocco on the occasion of 8th March 2016 International Woman's Day.
